Our consolidated permit number 5796 expires on March 31, 1982.We have submitted the information needed to evaluate the package and effect the renewal. The review of this data will take some time to review and the DOT Certificate of Competent Authority will expire on the same date.
We have several containers in various ports throughout the world which will not be accepted for shipment back to the US after the expiration date. The DOT will not renew their certificate unless the NRC certificate has been renewed.
It is for this reason that we are requesting that the permit be renewed for a period of six (6) months to permit movement of the packages during the period of NRC review Our check in the amount of $150.00 to cover the fee for this is enclosed.
