SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS  ;

MARCH, 1982 In the month of March, there were two (2) unit shutdowns. One automatic shutdown continued from last month and one manual shutdown was initiated on 3/10/82 for a maintenance outage. On March 27, while changing turbine control, a load transient occurred resulting in an increase in the pressurizer pressure. The increase in pressure caused a challenge to the pressurizer PORVs. The PORVs opened and following the decrease in pressure, the PORVs returned to the closed position.

The following safety-related maintenance was performed in the month of March:

1. Performed miscellaneous maintenance on diesel generators.

2. Repaired VCT letdown valve.

3. Repacked the ID service water pump.

4. Adjusted the packing on the "C" CCW Heat Exchanger Service Water Isolation Valve.

5. Repaired pressurizer liquid sample valve.

6. Repaired BIT "1A" recirculation pump.

7. Replaced ruptured disc on recycle evaporator.

8. Adjusted the packing on river water pumps #5 and #9.

9. Repaired the limit switches on all MSIVs.

10. Replaced the motor on H dilution fan IB.
