I am enclosing Consumers Power Company's answer to the first eight interrogatories filed by you on behalf of the NRC Staff on March 30, 1982.
As the answers to the interroga-tories indicate, the seismic analysis for the overhead crane is expected to be completed today.
'I will provide this information to you and the parties as soon as I receive it.
This information is, of course, being provided under our continuing obligation to supplement our answers to the inter-rogatories as new information becomes available.
Answers to Interrogatories 9 through 12 are under preparation, and they will be furnished as soon as possible.

AFFIDAVIT OF ROLFE B. JENKINS DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA: SS:
I, Rolfe B.
Jenkins, of lawful age, being first duly sworn, do state as follows:
I am employed by Consumers Power Company as a senior staff engineer in the Operating Services Department.
I have the responsibility within the Company for the management of the seismic evaluation of the Big Rock Point plant in connec-tion with NRC's Systematic Evaluation Program.
I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Mechanics from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan.
Prior to joining Consumers Power Company in April 1976, I spent over three years at Westinghouse Electric Corporation - Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory ("BAPL") in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.
At BAPL, I was involved in the Light Water Breeder Reactor core design and structural analysis.

4 Duties included core component design, production evaluation of fuel, fuel rods, support grids, and shell assemblies.
Also included were hypothetical cask drop accident analyses and fuel module shipment monitoring for dynamic loading.
At Consumers Power Company, my duties include the design and analysis of new mechanical and structural systems as well as the modification of existing systems.
Representa-tive systems include high pressure / temperature piping, heating systems, and mechanical equipment supports.
Occasional tasks include writing test specifications for the seismic testing of mechanical and electrical and the regular monitoring of nuclear reactor vessel surveillance programs to ensure that plant operations meet the requirements of 10 C.F.R. 50 Appen-dices G and H.
I represent Consumers Power Company in the Struc-tural Mechanics Subcommittee in the Systems and Materials Division of EPRI and in Subcommittee 6 of the Metal Properties Council.
I also provide a consultant interface in Consumers Power Company by providing review of design and analysis where a Michigan Professional Engineers License is required.
I am responsible for answering NRC Staff Interroga-tories 1-8.
