Docket 71-6347: FSV-3, Package Renewal.

/,

Dear Miss Jackson:

General Atonic is the primary licensee for the FSV-3 shipping pachage used for continued shipnents of HTGR fuel elements to the Ft. St. Vrain reactor.

We have recently undertaken a number of steps to have the subject certifi-cate of compliance renewed.

Subsequently, we have been advised that the review considerations have been stopped primarily because of the inclusion of U-233 as an authorized content and that appropriate renewal fees had not been submitted with our consolidated application, dated February 19, 1982.

This confirns our intent to delete references to U-233 in greater than 200 times a Type A quantity as an authorized content at this time and to trans-mit the $150 renewal fee. Revised pages to the safety analysis submitted February 19, 1982, will be forwarded under separate cover.

We understand that with the paynent of this fee and the cor2ituent to remove references to U-233 as an authorized content that the staff will be permitted to nove forward with the rencual of the Ft. St. Vrain packaging certificate of compliance for an appropriate period which we understand to be five years.

Should there be any further questions in this matter, do not hest atejto\\,
