Company, et al, for a Site ) FINAL ORDER Certificate for the Pebble Springs )
Nuclear Power Plant. )
At the Energy Facility Siting Council's April 9, 1982, meeting, the President of the primary applicant, Portland General El.ectric Company, informed the Council that Portland General Electric Company was withdrawing its application for a site certificate.
Portland General Electric Company, in its presentation, noted that recent developments, including new load growth fore-casts, the effect of Oregon Ballot Measure #7, events involving the Washington Public Power Supply System, and passage of the Regional Power Bill had led the applicant to the conclusion that the application for a site certificate should be withdrawn.
Based upon the foregoing:
(1) All further proceedings in the Pebble Springs site certificate application pending before the Council are j
hereby terminated; (2) The application by the Portland General Electric i Company for a site certificate is hereby denied; and (3) The Portland General Electric Company is directed to advise the Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission of the Page 1 - FINAL ORDER 9204190304 820412 PDR ADOCK 05000514 PDR G

action taken by this Council in order to obviate the need for the hearing scheduled for April 20, 1982, and it is further ordered that the Portland General Electric Company take such action before the Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission to carry out the intention of this order.
