Docket, Hearing
Subject:
[External_Sender] NRC Date:
Thursday, February 20, 2020 10:12:21 AM To Whom It may Concern:
I am a resident of Westchester County, living in Croton, N.Y.
I am writing today to demand a public meeting for Indian Points license transfer, in Westchester, for people to come and let the NRC know their objections to Holtec.
Holtec has a criminal record and should not be allowed to do business in New York. They, themselves manufacture the casks they want to use for high level radioactive waste storage. The caskets have thin walls and are inferior to thicker walled casks used abroad.
Quick and cheap is how Holtec has done business, There is no reason to think it will be any different at Indian Point.
Decommissioning Indian Point is not business, as usual.
Decommissioning is a complicated process that will affect the long term health and safety of the Hudson River Valley and the lives of 20 million people, who live and work in the area surrounding the reactors.
Sincerelyyours, Judy Jacobs Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.
