[External_Sender] Request for Hearing on Indian Point License Transfer, NRC-2020-0021 Date: Monday, February 17, 2020 5:54:17 PM US Nuclear Regulatory Commission By Electronic Transmission:

Hearing.Docket@nrc.gov Washington,DC 20555-0001 RE: Request for Hearing on Indian Point License Transfer, NRC-2020-0021 To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing as a member of a state-wide group, Peace Action New York State. Several of our community and campus chapters lie within 50-mile radius of the Indian Point nuclear power facility. Our state office in Manhattan and my home on Staten Island is also within that same radius.

As many New Yorkers, we looked forward to the closure and decommissioning of Indian Point. Now that we are preparing for decommissioning, it is critical that it be done right. For that reason, we need a local hearing in Westchester to address residents' concerns.

What we are hearing about Holtec, the company Entergy has chosen to sell to for decommissioning the plant, is very concerning: a) their alleged bribery of New Jersey officials; b) their being banned from doing business with the World Bank; c) walking out on other decommissioning projects; and d) the incomplete plan they have shared so far about how they will address Indian Point's decommissioning.

Please accept the offer of Westchester County Executive George Latimer for holding a local hearing for citizens so that we do this right.

Sincerely, Sally Jones Chair, Peace Action Fund of NYS 64 Fulton Street, Suite 403 New York, NY 10008 sallyjones@panys.org 917-362-0897 www.panys.org
