OF A MEETING HELD tlITH CONSUL;ERS POWER COPPANY O!i FARCli 16, 1982 - SCiiEUtiLING Un 11 arch 16,1982, the NRC staf f tiet with Consuners Power Company (CPCo) to discuss the review and hearing schedules related to the soils reredial work being conducted at 111dland. Enclosure 1 lists the neeting attendees.
Sunria ry During the neeting the problens related to the HRC staff review of the l'.idland soils recedial actions were discussed. These revolved largely around the hanner in which the review is being conducted. fir. Denton indicated to CPCo that he was strongly in favor of deferriny any additional hearing sessions until the staff had conpleted its review of CPCo's proposed actions and was in a position to support its findings before the ASLB. CPCo indicated that they welcoNd management of the staff review but expressed concern that delay of the ongoing hearing and o Board decision would delay the start of the OL hearing.
fir. Denton concluded that he wanted an internal presentation by his staf f to find out for hinself where we are on the I idland review. lie then requested another meeting with CPCo to discuss the hearing schedule about the week of March 29, 1982.
