In the Matter of Met Lab, Inc.

License No. 45-09963-01(EA81-51)'

Dear Messrs. Hoefling and Ward:

By notice of April 12, 1982, I was informed that the captioned proceeding has been assigned to me for disposition. My purpose in writing is to learn how soon the parties will be ready for hearing.

Would you please advise me by letter, within ten (10) days, how much time you will require to prepare for hearing and where and when you propese that the hearing be held.

It will be helpful if the parties would consult with each other before responding so that a mutually convenient date and place of hearing may be set.

Consideration should be given to negotiating the settlement of the matters in dispute, which could help to resolve the issues more speedily, justly and economically.

Sincerely, 3
