Issuance of Amendment to Technical Specifications to Change Fuel Storage and Handling Operations The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 21 to Facility Operating License No. R-37 for your tank-type reactor in response to your letter dated May 14, 1981.
This amendnent changes the Facility Operating License (1) to authorize storage of fresh fuel in a safe inside the containment butiding, (2) revises the fuel handling, and (3) changes the storage facilities at the MIT reactor.
The amendment changes are shown in the enclosed pages as noted by the v trtical lines.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.
