Gentlemen:
During a review of our fire protection commitments provided to the NRC, we discovered that the fire test results for the remaining four AN0-1 fire seals (as discussed in Mr. Robert W. Reid's letter dated October 24, 1980) had not yet been submitted to the NRC as required by item 3.12 of table 3.1 of the ANO-1 Fire Protection SER.
Therefore, attached is one copy of the above mentioned test results.
The test which was performed in 1980 verifies the ANO-1 fire seals meet the requirement for a 3-hour rating in accordance with the criteria specified in IEEE 634.
We apologize for the delay in providing you these results.
As the fire seals did pass the required testing, the margin of safety as provided for by our fire protection SER was met.
