20555 License No. DPR-35 Docket No. 50-293
Dear Sir:
On January 19, 1982, a letter was forwarded from this Company (Refer to ) explaining that we had selected the Corbin 0436 Sesamee com-bination padlock to comply with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21(d) for securing steel filing and map cabinets equipped with locking bars and located in protected and controlled areas.
On March 2,1982, a response was received from the Division of Licensing (Refer to Attachment 2) which ruled that the Sesamee lock was unacceptable for use in ;ecuring unclassified Safeguards Information within a controlled access area.
We do not agree with this decision and appeal to your Division to justify use
?
of the lock. Our reasons for this appeal are provided in Attachment 3.
Pursuant to Section (b)(4) of 10 CFR 73.21, we are requesting that you withhold the Safeguards Information provided in Attachments 1 and 3 of this letter from public inspection and these attachments should be protected against unauthorized discl osure.
Very truly yours, M
