7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-298 NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 79 to Facility Operating License no. DPR-46 issued to Nebraska Public Power District (the licensee) which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Cooper Nuclear Station located in Nemaha County, Nebraska.
The amendment is effective as of March 23, 1982.
The amendment modifies the Technical Specifications to permit operation of the facility during startup for a period not to exceed 48 hours5.555556e-4 days <br />0.0133 hours <br />7.936508e-5 weeks <br />1.8264e-5 months <br /> between March 22 and March 25, 1982 with the containment.deinerted and without dryw. ell supp.r.ession chamber differential pr. essure.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (tha Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that. pursuant to 10 CFR Sl.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with the issuance of this amendment.
