LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2 Preoperational Fog and Ice Observation Program NRC Docket Nos. 50-373 and 50-374
Dear Mr. Schwencer:
Enclosed is a summary o f the first quarter for 1982 o f preoperation fog and rime ice observations in the vicinity o f the cooling pond.
This is in accordance with the Final Environmental Statement, NUREG-0496; LaSalle County Station Units 1 and 2.
The summary consists o f Attachment 1 which includes all incidences o f fog which restricts visibility to 1/4 mile or less and rime ice which was observed on station property.
In summary, there were three days out o f the 61 observation days where visibility was restricted to less than 1/4 mile.
On February 2, 1982, all stations were observed with less than 1/4 mile of visibility.
However, on February 9.
1982, only one station was under the 1/4 mile limit and on February 12, 1982, there were three stations in this category.
Additionally, there were two observations of light rime ice observed on the station property.
There has not been any condensing water heat added to the pond as yet.
