Unit Name:
D. C. Cook Unit #2 Completed by:
D. R. Campbell Telephone:

1 of 1 MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES - APRII., 1982 Highlights:
The Unit entered the reporting period in Mode one, the Unit had just been paralleled at 2215 hours0.0256 days
0.615 hours
0.00366 weeks
8.428075e-4 months
, March 31, 1981. Prior to reaching 100%, the West Feed Pump tripped when an operator tried to clear the low vacuum trip operated alarm annunciator.
Power was rapidly reduced to 45%. The Feedpump turbine was reset and the Unit reached 100% power at 1208 hours0.014 days
0.336 hours
0.002 weeks
4.59644e-4 months
, April 2, 1982.
Power was reduced to 80% on April 7,1982 to conduct condensate flow tests.
Power was started down April 22, 1982, when it was thought that the Boron Injection Tank was not within its required boron con-centration limits.
Less than 1% power was dropped before the tank boron concentration was verified correct.
Power was again reduced to 85% on April 30, 1982 to conduct condensate flow tests.
Summary:
4-1-82 1410 hours0.0163 days
0.392 hours
0.00233 weeks
5.36505e-4 months
, West Main Feedpump turbine tripped, power was reduced to 45%.
4-2-82 1208 hours0.014 days
0.336 hours
0.002 weeks
4.59644e-4 months
, power returned to 100%.
4-7-82 2207 hours0.0255 days
0.613 hours
0.00365 weeks
8.397635e-4 months
, power reduced to 80% for condensate flow tests.
4-8-82 0840 hours0.00972 days
0.233 hours
0.00139 weeks
3.1962e-4 months
, power back to 100%.
4-8-82 0648 hours0.0075 days
0.18 hours
0.00107 weeks
2.46564e-4 months
, Number 24 Circulating Water Pump motor tripped due to motor grounded.
4-9-82 0358 hours0.00414 days
0.0994 hours
5.919312e-4 weeks
1.36219e-4 months
, Number 24 Circulating Water Pump motor was replaced.
4-14-82 On two occasions, one half of a Main Turbine Condenser was removed from service for a leakage test, two tubes were plugged.
4-22-82 Power was reduced less than 1% for a few minutes due to an indicated high boron concentration in the Boron Injection Tank.
4-29-82 2153 hours0.0249 days
0.598 hours
0.00356 weeks
8.192165e-4 months
, power reduced to 85% to conduct condensate flow tests.
4-30-82 0920 hours0.0106 days
0.256 hours
0.00152 weeks
3.5006e-4 months
, power returned to 100%.
