g THE SKAGIT/HAllFORD tlUCLEAR PROJECT AtlD THE WPPBS llUCLEAR PROJECT fl0. 2 We have received an additional paleomagnetism report critical to the completion of our review of the Skagit/Hanford Construction Permit and the UNP-2 Operating License applications. We request that Colleen Ostrowski review this May 1982 document in the manner (observatione, coments and questions) she previously followed for an earlier report described en our May 7, 1982 letter to you. The most recent rpoort, which is in draft fom, was prepared by the same firm as the earlier report (Sierra Geophysics of Redmond, Washington) and is titled "Palcomagnetism of Pre-Missoula Gravels from Corehole PM-2 on the South-east Antic 11ne, Hanford Site, Washington".
A copy of this May, 1982 report has been provided to Colleen.
We appreciate the expeditious and professional manner in which the April, 1982 report was reviewed by Colleen. Her observations and conclusions have been of great value to the Geosciences Branch and ultimately will be to the Skagit/Hanford and WNP-2 applicants.
Since we expect to receive a report describing the applicant's.(WPPSS) geologic and geophysical investigations and conclusions relative to the Southeast Anticline by June 4, we would appreciate receipt of Colleen's review by June 2.
