g This refers to your application dated June 16, 1981, as amended April 5,1982, requesting approval of the Model No. HN-100. Series 3 packaging.
In your April 5 revised submittal for the HN-100 Series 3 package, the tie-down lugs were designed to be at the compressive yield stress of 90,000 psi under the maximum load. The tie-down lugs are A516, Grade 70 steel which has a specified minimum yield stress of 38,000 psi and an ultimate strength of 70,000 psi. The use of 90,000 compressive yield stress should be justified.
Please advise as within thirty (30) days from the date of this letter when this information will be provided. The additional information requested by this letter should be submitted in the fom of revised pages.
