Dear Mr. Rouse:

/

Please refer to your letter of March 10 requesting informat n

regard to TRU waste.

'/

4 The data given below relates to our current decommissioninng work on the Cimarron Plutonium plant.

1) We currently have 1500 cubic feet of TRU on hand and expect to accumulate approximately 11,000 cubic feet in the next several years.
2) At the present 10 nCi/g limit, we expect to ship approximately 8500 cubic feet for surface disposal.

If the limit were increased to 100 nCi/g, we estimate that we would ship an additional 3500 cubic feet.

3) Assuming a 100 nC1/g limit for TRU waste, we estimate that the average concentration of alpha emitting radionuclides in the waste would be approximately 50 nCi/g.

If we can supply additional information, please call me.

Respectfully, N-9g
