EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS DEFICIENCIES n
Based on the results of the NRC's appraisal of the V. C. Sunrner Nuclear Station Energency Preparedness Program, conducted June 8-17, 1981, the following deficiencies were identified.

1.
Augmentation of Onsite Emergency Organization (Section 2.2; 50.47(b)(2)):
i The areas of authority and responsibility for both the Offsite Emergency Coordinator and the Emergency Director were not clearly defined.
2.
Emergency Alarm and Abnormal Occurrence Procedures (Section 5.2; 50.47(b)(4)):
i The Emergency Operating Procedures did not, in all cases, initiate actions required by the Emergency Plan and Emergency Plan Procedures.

Reviewing and revising as necessary, Appendix B of the Emergency Plan to ensure that the list of emergencf equipment and supplies is current.

Revising interim procedure EPP-019, Attachments III and VIII to reflect the operability checks performed on the instruments in the Offsite Holding Area Energency Kits.
