Area Inspected:

Status of Decommissioning Activities. The inspection involved 4 inspector-hours on site by one NRC inspector and began during regular hours.

Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements in the area inspected.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Unresolved (78-17-02):

The licensee completed a review of significant shipper-receiver differences between UNC Navy and UNC Wood River Junction and reconciled the outstanding differences.

30703 - Exit Interview The inspector met with licensee representatives (denoted in Paragraph 1) on April 16, 1982. The inspector summarized the scope and findings of the inspection.

92713 - Status of Decommissioning Activities No violations were identified. The inspector toured the fuel processing indcar storage and outside areas of the facility and held discussions with the licensee in regard to the status of decommissioning activities. 1he processing area was stripped of all equipment and initial cleaning was per formed. A three foot square grid was being prepared on the floors and walls, as a reference for surface survey measurements, which were scheduled to be completed during May,1982.

The inspector indicated that Region I may perform an independent survey of the processing areas after the licensee completes their survey.
