Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
h On September 9,1981, Mr. Virgil Brownlee of NRC Region II was notified of a significant deficiency per 10CER50.55(e) concerning the pipe supports on the Diesel Generator fuel oil return line. An interim 30 day report was written on Septaber 10, 1981. The corrective action of the 30 day report was to reinstall the pipe supprts on the fuel oil return line to manufacturer's requirments. The Colt supplied drawings for the diesel did not specifically address pipe supprt locations on the fuel oil return lines. Supports were installed to their approximate original location ard as-built sketz:hes subnitted tn Colt for verification and incorporation on applicable drawings.
Colt supplied South Carolina Electric and Gastwith drawings giving a pipe support spacing criteria for the fuel oil return lines. The supports have been installed to the spacing criteria requirments as indicated on the manufacturer's drawings.
