Subject:
Operability of Containment Purge Valves for Fermi 2 Responses for the three (3) items listed.in the referenced letter are provided in this memorandum.
These responses, along with our previous submittals, fully address the purge valve operability issue.
1.
A commitment to modify the valve and valve disc orientations is contained.in our letter of January 4, 1982 (EF2-55,980).
The valves are punchlisted as incorrectly installed, and the installation modifi-cation is in progress (SU-8258 and EF2-57,112).
2.
Table 3.6.3-1 of the Technical Specifications con-tains the inservice inspection information for these valves.
3 The valve will operate automatically even in the manual handwheel mode.
The handwheel clutch is disengaged when this occurs.
