Issuance of Safety Evaluation Report (Hidland 1 and 2)
Enclosed for review by the Cocnittee are twenty (20) copies of the Safety Evaluation Report prepared by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation in the matter of the application filed by the Consumers Power Company for licenses to operate the Midland Plant, Units 1 and 2.
At this time, 16 issues remain outstanding. These issues are identified in Section 1.7 of the SER. He anticipate that several of these will be resolved prior to the June 1982 ACRS meeting. We will require the resolution of all open items prior to a decision on issuance of operating licenses.
