Dear Mr. Denton:
This is to provide information regaroing the application o f the Westinghouse Improved Thermal Design Procedure at the Byron and Braidwood plants.
The review o f this information should close Outstanding Item 8 of the Byron Safety Evaluation Report.
In the Safety Evaluation Report on WC AP-9500, "Re ference Core Report 17x17 Optimized Fuel Assembly", the staf f required those plants using the Improved Thermal Design Procedure (ITDP) to provide additional information on the plant specific application of the ITDP.
Enclosed is the Westinghouse response for Byron /Braidwood.
The generic response related to ITDP was provided by Westinghouse letter NS-EPR-2577, Rahe to Berlinger, March 31, 1982.
This completes the set of responses to ITDP for Byron /Braidwood.
This submittal contains proprietary information o f Westing-house Electric Corporation.
In conformance with the requirements of 10 CFR Section 2.790, as amended, o f the Commission's regulations, we are enclosing with this submittal an application for withholding from public disclosure by the Commission.
