HIGi INTEGRITY CONTAINERS.
In response to your memorandum dated April 1,1982,.we are sending a. copy of our draft Branch Technical Position.(BTP).on Waste. Form. This draft BTP contains guidance related to the design.of high. integrity. containers. The high integrity containers which have.been approved by the State of South Carolina are containers designed to.be placed into.a Type A or B.overpack..
As we have discussed with your staff. in,the. Transportation. Branch, we are unaware of any proposed designs which would be.used both.as the disposal, container and the transportation package. For..such.a case,.the. container would require certification to, meet the. Type. A.gr B. transportation. require-ments as applicable.
