S2.720(a), Intervenors apply to the i'
Safety and Licensing Board to issue the attached subpeonas to Mr. Earl Huma and Mr. John Thiessen.
Messrs Muma and Thiessen are the Directors of Civil Defense and Emergency Planning for Charlevoix County and for Emmet County respectively.
Charlevoix County is the location of the Big Rock Point Plant and Emmet County the adjoining county.
The duties of each include emergency planning in the3 event of an accident at Big Rock Point Plant.
Their testimony is obviously relevant and necessary on the emergency planning issues herein.
Intervenors contacted both Mr. Muma and Mr. Thiessen to obtain their 1
voluntary appearance at the hearing, but both of them stated they would not appear except under subpeona.
