Page 2 of 7 ARTICLE I - STATEMENT OF WORK A.

Background

Pursuant to the provisions of section 274i of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amerded, the Commission provides training to State regulatory personnel.

This training is designed to increase and maintain the technical competence of State radiation control personnel.

B.

Work Reouired The Contractor shall furnish the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, materials, texts, and services to prepare and teach one (1) training course in July or August,1982, with an option for one (1) additional course in July or August,1983, entitled " Safety Aspects of Industrial Radiography for State Regulatory Personnel,"

Description of Course Each training course shall be one week (5 working days) in duration and class hours should start approximately 8:00 a.m. and end approximately The class size is to be approximately 16 students.

All attendees will be preselected by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of State Programs.

The course objectives shall be accomplished through a combination of lectures, discussions, films, demonstration of equipment and field exercises providing hands on experience in the various aspects of industrial radiography operations.

In particular, the course shall encompass the following:

The technical aspects of industrial radiography.

This shall include a.

principles and techniques used in making a radiograph -- from set up to finished picture, Equipment (types and principles of operation) used to made a radiograph.

(1) Radiation Sources Isotopic Machine (2) Exposure divices (3) Film (4) Stopwatch, linear measure, etc.

Training and supervision of radiographers.

Organization and operation of radiography companies.

ARTICLE III - OPTION TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE This contract may be extended for a period of one year at the option price set forth under ARTICLE IV - CONSIDERATION, Paragraph B, at the option of the Government, by the Contracting Officer giving written notice of the Government's exercise of such option to the contractor not later than the last day of the term of the contract; provided that such notice shall have no effect if given less than thirty days prior to the last day of the term of the contract unless the Contracting Officer has given preliminary written notice of an intent to exercise such option at least thirty days prior to the last day of the term of the contract, (such preliminary notice shall not be construed as an exercise of the option, and will not bind the Government to exercise the option).

If the Government exercises such option, the total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any option under this clause, shall not exceed two years.

ARTICLE IV - CONSIDERATION A.

Basic Year In full consideration of the contractor's performance hereunder, the NRC shall pay the contractor the firm-fixed-price of $4900.00 for the course that is presented in July or August 1982; and the firm-fixed-price of $4950.00 for the course that is presented in the summer of 1983.

Option Year In full consideration of the contractor's performance hereunder, the NRC shall pay the contractor the fixed prices of $4900.00 for the first course presented in 1982, and $4950.00 for the course presented in 1983.

ARTICLE VI - OBLIGATION The amount presently obligated by the NRC with respect to this contract is four-thousand-nine-hundred dollars (4900.00).

ARTICLE VII - PAYMENT Payment shall be made in accordance with Clause 2 of the General Provisions entitled " Payment" as soon as practicable after successful completion of each course and upon submission by the contractor of voucher (s) in a form satis-factory to the Contracting Officer, provided, however, that said payment (s) shall not be deemed to prejudice any rights which the Government may have by law or under other provisions of this contract.

In the absence of a discount, the contractor shall be paid upon the submission of a proper and correct invoice or voucher in approximately thirty days after submission or date of delivery, whichever is later, the prices stipulated herein for supplies deliyered and accepted or services rendere6 and accepted, as herein provided.

If this order provides for a discount, the contractor shall indicate the order's discount terms on the invoice or voucher.
