Dear Mr. Sullivan:
This is in response to your letter dated April 5,1982 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, a list of companies, individuals, institutions and government agencies which have been issued licenses for the ocean disposal of radioactive wastes.
The documents listed on the appendix are copies of prior responses to requests for documents pertaining to the ocean dumping of radioactive wastes.
The records associated with these responses have already been made available for inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) located at 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC.
The charge for reproducing records (xerox copying) located in the PDR is five cents
($0.05) per page, as specified in 10 CFR 9.14(a).
The charge for reproducing records from microfiche is twenty-four cents ($0.24) per page.
Appendix items 1 and 2 are currently being placed on microfiche and are expected to be available in three to four weeks. Appendix items 3 through 5 presently exist in paper copy.
Copies of these documents can be purchased by writing directly to the PDR. The number of pages per document is indicated in the Appendix.
Upon your agreement to pay the reproduction charges, the PDR will arrange for the records to be reproduced by Literature Research Company, a private reproduction contractor servicing the PDR.
You will be billed by Literature Research Company for the reproduction charges, plus tax and postage.
