Dear Sir:
Reference 1 requested that the Power Authority identify any technical exceptions to the subject NUREG requirement.
The Authority has taken no exceptions to this requirement and considers it complete for the FitzPatrick plant.
A brief description of the capability to measure iodine levels in the plant, following an accident, was provided in Reference 2.
In response to Reference 3, the Power Authority submitted a request for an amendment to the FitzPatrick Operating License to include requirements for an improved inplant' iodine measurement capability.
This request was approved and incorporated into the operating License as Amendment 57.
