t the ANS 40.35 standard has been. delayed.due to the unavailability of a 4 m
chairman to head-up a review committee.
As you are aware, the Nuclear Regulatory, Commission has. published a policy which encourages volume reduction.. An important aspect.in encouraging volume reduction is the availability of a. standard which provides guidance on volume reduction systems. We, therefore.. urge you to, accelerate your. efforts to select a chairman for the review of this document.
In. addition,we.also encourage you to accelerate the. finalization.of_this standard so that it can be made available to the nuclear. industry.for.their use.
