Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 51 to Facility Operating License No, DPR-69, issued to BaltimoreGasandElectric. Company,whichrehisedTechnicalSpecifications foroperationoftheCalYertCliffsNuclearPowerPlant,UnitNo.2 locatedinCalhertCounty, Maryland. Theamendmentiseffectiheasof the date of issuance.
The amendment extends the maximum allowable period of inoperability for control room air conditioning unit from 7 to 21 days to allow modifi-cations to the equipment. This amend 11ent is applicable during the period April 17 to July 21, 1982, duringwhichtimeCalhertCliffsUnitIwould be' shutdown (Modes 5 and 6).
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations,,

in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of the amendment was not required since the amendment does notinholheasignificanthazardsconsideration.

The Commission has determined that the issuance of the amendment will not result in any significant enhironmental impact and that pursuant to10CFR551.5(d)(4)anenYironmentalimpactstatement,ornegatiUe declaration and enhironmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of the amendment.
