The purpose of this letter is to confi

r. meeting gi day, April 12, 1982 and our joint meeting with the Wyoming Hi dg~Associatien (WMA) on Tuesday, April 13, 1982.

As discussed previously with you, the main purpose of the April 12, 1982 meeting is to discuss any cocinents you have on our Position Paper on Groundwater Honitoring at Uranium In Situ Solution Mines and our comments on the Uranium In Situ Leach Industry Position Papers issued by the W!!A late last year.

We have no plans to discuss the proposed 1100 between Wyoming and the HRC at this meeting.

In addition, we would like to discuss the status of solution mining operations with particular emphasis on:

RiiEC 9-Mile Lake R&D ISL - Status of groundwater restoration 2)

Wyoming Hineral Corporation Irigaray ISL - Groundwater pumping during interim shutdown 3

Exxon Highland R&D ISL - Status of groundwater restoration 4

Use of uranium as an excursion indicator S

Cleveland Cliffs North Rolling Pin ISL - License Termination 6

Coordination of Licensing Actions 7

Setting of Upper Control Limits Regarding the April 13, 1982 meeting, the main purpose of the meeting is to discuss industry's comments on the NRC position paper and industry's response to our comments on their position papers. We have been informed l

by WHA that they have reserved a room at the Hitching Post for the meeting.

If you wish to discuss any aspects of these meetings, please contact Mr. Jeff Pohle of my staff (301-427-4629) since I will not be in the office the week of April 5th.
