Dear Mr. Crow:
g License SNM-54 for General Electric's San Jose aci ities expires on May 31, 1982. Because of the elimination of reactor fuels activities involving sig-nificant quantities of SNM, it is General Electric's intention to terminate License SNM-54 and to transfer the remaining activities performed under that license to State of California License 0418-59.
In order to permit an orderly transfer, General Electric requests that:
(1) License SNM-54 be extended administrative 1y until the appropriate amend-ments can be made to License 0418-59; and (2) the possession limits of Lic-ense SNM-54 be reduced to 350 grams of'U-235, or 200 grams of Pu, or a pro-rated ratio of the two as specified in 10CFR150.ll. Specifically, the fol-lowing amendments are requested:
