OPERATING LICENSE i
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Conunission) has issued Amendment No. 21 to Facility Operating Licen'se No. NPF-7 issued to the Virginia Electric and Power Company (the licensee) for operation of the North Anna Power Station, Unit No. 2 (the facility) located in Louisa County, Virginia. TheamendmentiseffectiYeasofitsdateofissuance.
The amendment revises the time required for the licensee to implement modifications specified in License Condition 2.C.(10) regarding secondary protection of cont'ainment ' electrical penetrations. The approved extension in time from the first refueling outage to the second refueling outage is due to the impact of numerous NRC required actions all required to be completed within the physical contraints of the electrical penetration area during the first refueling outage. The amendment also revises the facility technical specifications by specifying Limiting Conditions of Operation for certain deenergized power circuits when containment integrity is required i
during operating Modes 1, 2, 3 and 4.
1 The applications for the amendment comply with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commise. ion has made appro-priate findings as required by the Act ar.d the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
