Dear Sir:
The enclosed package contains Revision 1 pages for the UFTR Safety Analysis Report dated January, 1981 submitted as part of our relicens-ing effort.
These revisions, dated May, 1982, are submitted as a result of the SAR Review for the Safety Evaluation Report performed during the March 29-31, 1982 visit by the NRC/LANL review team as well as subsequent questions and comments raised by the NRC staff. All text changes are c1carly indicated by vertical lines in the margins.
Figure changes can be noted by comparison with original figures. Most of the changes repre-sent simple typographical errors or omissions, though several involve calculational errors or f acility description discrepancies discovered as a result of the Staff SAR review and the Staff formal questions (see letter dated April 9,1982) as well as subsequent staff questions and comments. All changes have been discussed with the review team and/or the NRC Staff. The enclosure consists of:

Three (3) signed originals and nineteen copies of this letter of transmittal.
2.
Twenty-five (25) copies of the Revision 1 to the UFTR Safety Analysis Report.
