Dear Mr. Philips:
This is in response to your letter dated January 8,1982 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, four categories of records regarding the agreement between NRC and IEEE regarding accreditation of testing organizations (see 46 Fed. Reg. 57206, November 20, 1981).
Our response to each category of your request is noted below.
Cagegory one:
The requested information is contained in two records, as identified on the enclosed appendix, which have already been made available at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) for public inspection and copying.,The NUREG report is maintained on microfilm at the PDR, and it is also available in printed form through the Government Printing Office Sales Program, Division of Technical Information and Document Control, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Coninission, Washington, D.C. 20555 at a cost of $8.00, payable in advance.
Category two:
A member of the NRC staff, Frederick Forscher, is currently preparing the value-impact statement, which has not yet been typed in draft form.
The draft will be reviewed by NRC staff and the Commission, and when the statement has been approved by the Conmission it will be made available at the PDR for public inspection and copying.
Category three:
A copy of the requested agreement, as identified on the enclosed appendix, is being placed in the POR for your inspection and copying.
You may obtain access to this record at the PDR by either presenting a copy of this letter or requesting folder F01A-82-7 filed under your name.
Category four:
Requested records, as identified on the enclosed appendix, are being placed in the PDR, in folder F0!A-82-7.
