BOMB TilREAT Purdue University campus police received a general bomb threat this morning j
directed against four univertity buildings, one of which was the Nuclear Engineering Building. The bomb was reported to be set to go off between 8:00 a. m. and 8:30 p.m. today. The caller sas reported to be a male.with i
a heavy foreign accent who claimed to represent a protest organization, the I
name of which was not distinguishable to the person who received the call.

'The University's research reactor is housed in an annex to the Nuclear
' Engineering Building. The Laboratory Director, who was notified of the bo=b threat sometime after 6:00 a.
m.,
searched the reactor facility i
with negative results.
Local law enforcement agencies have been notified by the campus police.
All feur buildi~gs hac-been evacuaMd and are bciag scarched. The. class 2s n
normally held in these buildings have been enneelled.
News of.the bomb threat has been broadcast on local radio stations and is expected to appear in local newspapers.
Region III (Chicago) received notification of this occurrence by telephone l
from the Laboratory Director of the University's Nuclear Engineering Depart-ment at 8:15 a.m.' on March 25, 1976.
