Subject:

LICENSING BOARD'S APPROVAL OF STAFF'S PROPOSED TMI-1 ENFORCEMENT PLAN In its Partial Initial Decision of December 14, 1981 the Licensing Board directed the Staff to present a plan for the implementation of the Board's decision on plant design and unit separation matters.

The Staff presented the details of its enforcement plan to the Licensing Board on February 1, 1982. Licensee and UCS replied and both disagreed with some aspects of the Staff's proposed plan.

By leave of the Board the Staff filed a response to Licensee's reply in which resolution of most of the disagreements between Licensee and Staff was reported.

On April 5,1982 the Licensing Roard issued a tiemorandum and Order in which it found the Staff's plan generally sufficient and with some minor modifications and amendments adopted the plan as the Board's order in the proceeding.

The order is appealable within 10 days. However, based on our preliminary review of the order, we do not believe that an appeal by the Licensee or UCS is likely, and appeal by the Staff is unnecessary.
