Vogtle Electric Generating Plant - Units 1 and 2 50-424, 50-425 Use of Derated/ Abandoned Embed Plates Attention: Mr. James P. O'Reilly Gen tlemen:
Georgia Power Company reported a potential deficiency to the NRC on February 22, 1982 concerning the use of derated/ abandoned plates.
Georgia Power Company is reviewing the use of these embed plates to determine if there is a reportable deficiency.
It is expected that the NRC will be furnished a final report of the results of this evaluation by April 30, 1982.
This response contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room upon receipt.
