Background===
j Conanonwealth Edison is licensed under Materials License No. SIM-1883 I
for the receipt and storage of fuel and accessories for eventual use in the LaSalle County Station, Unit 2.
The license is scheduled to i
expire March 31, 1982. By application dated March 2,1982, the licensee i
has requested an extension of the expiration date to December 31, 1983.
II. Discussion The licensee advises that the current construction completion date
'i is September 30, 1983. The NRC has been requested to extend the construction permit so that the latest completion date would be December 31, 1983.
It is noted that extending the expiration date does not affect the radiological safety, nuclear safety, or other l
paranneters on which the issuance of the license was based.
