Dear Administrative Judges:
Qi l ) p As noted in the Licensing Board's Memorandum and Order (concerning a Motion to Compel and Other Matters) dated February 19, 1982, the Board expects official notification from the Staff concerning the Ginna steam generator tube rupture incident.
The Staff is currently assembling and evaluating information concerning that incident, and expects to be able to make a notification to the Board by the end of April 1982.
The Staff is attempting to provide the Board with a complete and accurate evaluation of the events as they transpired.
The initial data received was. fragmentary and did not give a good picture of the event-cause relationship.
Region I has established a task force to compile information concerning the incident and to prepare a report. The notification the Board will receive will include the Region I Ginna Task Force Report.
