Enclosed is the NRC Stiff's Safety Evaluation of the new fuel Storage racks' structrual integrity under all loading conditions, including those imposed by an SSE seismic event. The Staff has concluded that there is no threat to the public health and safety and as a result of the proposed modification.
The Staff must file interrogatories on Contention 9 NLT.Tpril 2,1982, and responses must be served by you NLT April 16, 1982.
In light of our previous discussions, I would ask that you review this material immediately, with a view toward either framing specific questions to which you would like the Staff to respond or requesting the Licensing Board to allow withdrawal of this contention from the captioned proceeding.
