March 22, 1982 Mr. Lake II. Barrett Deputy Progam Director TMI Program Office U.S. NRC
. Washington, DC 20555
Dear Mr. Barrett,
The Susquehanna Valley Alliance is concerned about the fact that increased levels of radioactivity, particularly tritium, have, as in the past, been showing up again in ground water sampling.
While I realize that there are explanations of what the suspected cause of the increases is, and discussions of what is being done in response to the increases.in the: Status reports, I would' appreciate'm6re d6tdi'ledtinformation.
Please provide me with any information you have on the ongoing nature of this problem, the possible sources of the problem, and an explanation of what the NRC and/or the utility is doing to cure it.
I look forward to a prompt reply to my request.
S4ncerely, Lg h J dith A.
