Dear Mr. Keppler:
The purpose of this letter is to document clarifying remarks provided by Commonwealth Edison (R. Bishop) to Mr.
J.
M.
Peschel of your staf f concerning a restatement of information contained in Reference (1) concerning earlier telephone conferences between Commonwealth Edison and your staff.
Specifically, with respect to the discussion of Item 4 contained in paragraph 2 of that section on page 1 o f Reference (1), the information presented in the referenced telephone conference indicated that:
the Commonwealth Edison Quality Assurance Department performs an audit / review of completed preoperational test documentation and would have discovered the unreported deficiency if the problem was identified in the test evaluation and was still unresolved.
It is my understanding that this clarification was agreed to by Mr. Peschel.
