y To: February 17 Full Scale Exercise Guest Observers Duquesne Light appreciates your expression of interest in our scheduled full-scale exercise to be conducted on February 17, 1982. This letter provides information on the exercise arrangements, a list of nearby motels, and a map to enable you to find the site.
On Tuesday, February 16th, we will be conducting two pre-exercise meetings.
The first, at 10 AM, is a briefing for exercise participants.
The second, at 2 PM, is a briefing for exercise observers.
At this meeting, you will be provided with a copy of the scenario. Both of these meetings will.be. held at the Shippingport Atomic Power Station Visitor's Center.
The center is" located on-site, opposite the Unit No. I containment building.
We expect that you will observe the exercise from either the Technical Support Center or the Emergency Operations Facility, or from other locations outside of the protected Fea fence. The TSC and EOF are located outside of the protected area in the basernent of the Nuclear Division Administration Building.
Although security badging is not normally required in this building, you will be issued observer identification badges following the 2 PM briefing which will permit entry to the TSC/ EOF during the exercise.

We expect that you will make arrangaments for accommodations.
We would It's suggest that you plan to stay in the vicinity of the Pittsburgh Airport.
approximately 30-40 minute drive to the site.
Please note that oue to the ongoing refueling outage, parking is at a premium onsite. Although we will hold for lunch, our TSC/E0F personnel will remain in the vicinity of their stations since offsite play may continue during this period.
A catered lunch will be available for designated observers and onsite exercise participants.
