This refers to the telephone conversation between Mr. Russell kise of this office and Mr. Richard White, Westinghouse Electric Corporation on March 23, 1982, regarding the possession of material which is not authorized by your byproduct material license.
4 Regarding the matter discussed, we understand that you have taken or will undertake the following actions:
(a) Discontinue the use of the unauthorized material.
(b) Apply for an amendment to your license to add this item to your license, or request the authorized material from the vendor.
(c) Ensure that the unauthorized material is not used until your license is amended by the NRC.
If our understanding of your planned actions as described above is not in accordance with the actual plans and action being implemented, please contact this office immediately.
