Technical Specification Revision Gentlemen:

Alabama Power Company has reviewed the Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 2 Technical Specifications against the recently revised Unit 1 Technical Specifications. Based on this review, we are submitting a Technical Specification change request for Unit 2. The attached Technical Speci fication changes represent a clarification of requirements and incorporates improvements from the revised Unit 1 Technical Speci fications (Amendment 26) and the NRC Standard Technical Specifications. All of the proposed changes are editorial in nature or have previously been reviewed and accepted by the NRC as part of the Unit I revision effort and are consistent with the plant safety analysis.

Alabama Power Company's Plant Operations Review Committee and Nuclear Operations Review Board have raviewed this proposed change to the Technical Specifications and have jetermined that the change does not involve an unreviewed safety question as shown in the encl osed safety evaluation.

The class of this proposed amendment is designated as Class II according to 10 CFR 170.22 requirements. Enclosed is a check for $1,200.00 to cover the total amount of fees required.
