Dear Administrative Judges:

Please find enclosed a letter received today from Citizens For Safe Energy and Quad Cities Alliance for Safe Energy and Survival.

We believe this letter should be treated as a motion to withdraw Contested Contention 7, as numbered in Attachment No. 1 to Commonwealth Edison Com-pany's first set of interrogatories and request for production of documents (Attachment No. 1).

Commonwealth Edison has no objections to the with-drawal of Contention 7.

The NRC Staff has been informed of Intervenors' desire to withdraw this contention and I am authorized to state that the NRC Staff has no objections to Intervenors' motion.

Respectfully submitted, Robert G. Fitzg1 bons J RGF:emc 4
