Roseburg, OR 97470 License No. 36-19555-01 As a result of the inspection conducted on February 3,1982, and in accordance with the Interin Enforcenent Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October 7, 1980),
the following violation was identified:
A.
10 CFR 30.3 states that except for persons exempt as provided in this Part and Part 150 of this chapter, no person shall manufacture, produce, transfer, receive, acquire, own, possess, or use, byproduct naterial except as authorized in a specific or general license issued pursuant to the regulations in this chapter.
Contrary to the above requirement, the Campbell Pacific Nuclear Portaprobe Dodel C (R) fiark II, Serial flunber C72123740 was received on November 12, 1980, which is prior to the effective date of January 28, 1981 for the current license.
This is a Severity Level IV Violation.

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land flanaaenent, 00seburg, OR, fra hereby required to subnit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice, a written statenent or explanation in reply, including:
(1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further itens of noncompliance; and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
Consideration may be given to extending your response tire for good cause shovm.
