Dear Hr. Griers This is an interin report regarding certain deficieseies in 1.isitorque valve notor operators supplied for use at Limerick Ceneratinct Station, tin consider these deficicacies to he reportable under the provisions of 1GCFF50.35(e).
he deficionales described herein are different from those presteunty reported in ?%co's signsficant Deficiescy Resort *:e. 25 submitted to the C5MAC se January 28, 1931 which ceceermed eiring defects la Limitorque motor ooerstors.
In order to indse the extent of wiring deficiencies in Limitorque operators (as reported la SLR 25) and to determine if the Limerick Project had any other deficienstes similar to those famed by other profeets, in March 1951 PECO instreated' 5echtal Poeur Corporation to conduct an inspectica se a esople of 30 Limitorque meter operators supplied for wee at LCS. This inspection is abent 40t esoplate at this time and has revealed defeste other them these reported in 3D.'t No. 23.
Defects thus far observed ineledes limit setteh retors with eracks or uiadrilled pin holes, and use of non-qualified terminst bleeks and limit evitch gear framme. "hase defects,11 not corrected could possibly prevent the operatore free performing their safety related function.
